Commentary: The BBB must be held accountable for their illegal and unjust actions. Mechanic's Responds.com® News, LLC is VERY aggressive in Investigating, Identifying, Exposing, Commenting on, and Responding to any News Worthy Story specifically involving the unfair BBB, Corruption, Unfair Practices, Injustice, and Consumer Abuses Against Businesses.
Today, Mechanic's Responds.com News, LLC has learned that Mechanic's Heating & Air Conditioning, LLC, herein called "Mechanic's", has filed a SECOND Formal Complaint today with the OCA (Governor's Office of Consumer Affairs).
Mechanic’s Responds® has been reporting since 2007 that the Metro Atlanta BBB loves to turn its enemies, like Mechanic's, into the OCA, and other State Agencies, in order to cause "pain" to companies that dare speak out against the BBB or dare not to pay the BBB extortion money (so called "BBB Membership Fees").

Dear Investigator:
As you may or may not be aware, on Friday November 12, 2010, ABC's 20/20 aired an investigation of the Better Business Bureau. Here is a link for your information:
Recently, a complaint was filed with the Georgia Attorney General against the Better Business Bureau. As I read the complaint, one aspect of it stood out: the technique the BBB uses to deceive the public.
Here it is in a nutshell.
Some businesses display the BBB symbol as a sign they have been accredited by the BBB. These same businesses have high ratings on the BBB website, usually A+ grades. One would think that standard would be somewhat rigorous. According to the BBB guidelines posted on the BBB's website, it is hard to achieve.
The BBB states that among other things, to obtain an accreditation, a business must have been operating for the past 12 months and have maintained a B grade or higher with the BBB. So far so good. Then along comes ABC's 20/20. On this TV expose, some guy with a credit card sits at the computer, types in his terrorist organization "Hamas," pays the $425 and up pops an A- rating from the BBB. It appears that the 12 seconds it takes for a credit card to be approved is all that is needed to get an A- rating.
To be fair, we have to report that the 12-second rule was not always the case.
One such example was a website that has been up and running for years called Stormfront.Org. This website states: "We are a community of White Nationalists. There are thousands of organizations promoting the interests, values and heritage of non-Whites."
When a guy paid his $425 to the BBB for Stormfront.org to join, BBB took 12 hours to investigate this group. During this 12 hour investigation, perhaps the BBB saw this recent post that we found: "As for Lincoln being killed by a Jew it is certainly possible considering he stood against their central banking practices and the carving up of the South, as well as wanting to ship the groids back to Africa."
Okay. Maybe this post is an anomaly.
Here is another: "our race has gotten soft, we need a new Hitler that can make our white countries stay white." Ooops.
Let's try one more: "Muslims are the symptom, Jews are the disease."
Well, we get it. This organization surely will be turned down by the BBB.
After 12 hours of investigation, what did the BBB determine? ACCREDITED! Yes that's right. This neo-Nazi skinhead group "Embod[ies] Integrity" and "Approach[es] all business dealings, marketplace transactions and commitments with integrity." Nice!
Now that a complaint has been filed with the Georgia Attorney General, it will be interesting to see what happens to the BBB's ability to do business in Georgia. You can bet that Georgia will soon be issuing subpoenas and opening up an investigation.
Violating the Fair Business Practices Act will likely bring swift and sudden justice to an organization whose slogan is "Start with Trust" yet appears to actually be: "Start with Trust and $425." We will keep you informed as to the outcome of Georgia's investigation.
We hope you start an investigation immediately, issue subpoenas and remove all references off the government websites referring Georgia citizens to this corrupt and dishonest organization.
Thank you for your time and attention.
Clearly, the BBB (Better Business Bureau) is a scam.
